Our goal is to support your health and find the underlying factors that have created excess weight gain in your body. We utilize many pathways to weight management.  There can be many causes associated with the inability to lose weight and during a comprehensive office visit your individual causes will be discovered and treated, thereby paving the way for successful long term weight loss. We have many patients who have had significant difficulty losing weight even while following many of the popular diets, eating moderately, and exercising regularly.  One of the most successful treatments we have encountered for weight loss has been hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin).  Unlike many popular diet plans hCG is used to “reset” your hypothalamus and pituitary gland thereby encouraging your endocrine system and hormones to be “reset”.  Although the use of hCG is only for a short time it has shown great results as far as long term weight management.
What is hCG?
hCG is human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a naturally occurring hormone found in the body. It is produced when a woman is pregnant. It is also a regulated prescription drug that is FDA-approved to treat infertility, ovarian dysfunction, and testicular dysfunction. This hormone works to assist your body in utilizing fat for energy during the low calorie diet. On the hCG diet plan your body will start to burn your fat stores for energy thus your weight loss is true fat loss instead of muscle wasting on most calories restriction progams.
How much weight is generally lost on the plan?
On average people lose four pounds a week. Many lose more, but results can vary depending on compliance with the diet plan; eating adequate vegetables & fiber while maintaining restricted calories. Stress, sleep patterns & menstrual cycles can also affect hormones & weight loss. Results vary with any plan, the average has been four pounds lost weekly.
What other changes can be noticed?
A variety of benefits are known to be linked with lower body mass index and fat loss: improved blood sugars, blood pressure, and reduced risk of diseases like cancer and heart disease. We’ve observed participants in our plan to have more energy and an overall better sense of well-being, many for the first time in many years
How was hCG for weight management discovered?
Dr. A.T. Simeons introduced using hCG and a very low calorie diet in his book “Pounds and Inches published in the 1960s. Since then, many doctors have used hCG as part of a medically-supervised weight loss programs.
People on a very low calorie diet with or without hcg lose weight. The hCG addes ease to the low calories diet because you are not deprived and you are burning your own fat for energy.
How might hCG help with weight loss?
Dr. Simeon’s believed hCG improved body tone, mobilized fat stores, and/or reduced cravings or hunger. hCG does influence hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. We know that testosterone can improve lean body mass, progesterone can reduce fluid retention, and estrogen is stored in fat. With that in mind, it makes sense that a hormone like hCG, that can influence these hormones, may impact lean body mass or fat. Like with other hormones, all actions of hCG are not yet known.
What makes the weight management plan at Cypress different?
Simplicity! We are committed to seeing you get great results safely and easily. Although use of any drug and aggressive weight loss carries risk, we take safety steps others don’t. For example, unlike other clinics that buy their hCG from the internet or outside the country, we use hCG from reputable pharmacies that we have used for some time. Please know your sources for all medications, specifically hCG.
Unlike other clinics that use Dr. Simeon’s original diet, we use a healthier diet adding plant medicines and vitamins (when needed) to promote health for you. Unlike other clinics that simply have people sign a waiver, we only enroll participants who have had recent labs and an interview with a doctor enter the program— to make sure you have the best results possible.
Unlike other clinics that have you keep coming back week after week, we recognize that the long term use of hCG may have (unknown) risks so we restrict duration of our programs to 3 or 6 weeks at a time. In our weight loss plan, your progress is monitored by a doctor. A doctor instructs you on the initial plan, how to administer and use hCG, and what to do long term to help you keep the weight off.
Many men & women who have elevated body fat levels can participate in our hCG Weight Management Plan. Women who are pregnant / nursing, or anyone who has had a hormone-related cancer should not participate. Â If you are not a candidate for hCG, we have other plans that although achieve slower results, would be better for you.
Is such a low calorie diet healthy?
Following a restricted calorie diet combined with hCG is safe when under a doctor’s supervision.  This is not a healthy diet for long term and should only be used for short periods of time with other supportive measures. The very low calorie diet alone can lead to nutritional deficiencies, fatigue, low blood sugar, and potential loss of lean muscle. This diet needs to be done under supervision and with the support of hCG.
Will I gain the weight back after the hCG Weight Management Plan?
Most people have kept the weight off. Our clients have reported that their appetite & eating patterns have changed for the better. To help you get lasting results, one of our doctors will educate you on a long term healthy eating plan. Healthy weight is a lifelong process. It is important to keep on a healthy eating plan to maintain your good results.

FDA disclaimer: hCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or “normal” distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie- restricted diets. The FDA has not approved hCG for weight loss.
